Our Becker heritage can be traced to Germany within the past 10 generations. Daniel Becker was born 06 February 1813 to Jacob and Margareth (Daub) Becker in  Kuselkoeniigan, Bavaria, Germany. Daniel was married to Katherina Elizabeth Daniel 23 November 1841 in Germany. Katherina was born 20 November 1819 in Trahweiler, Rheinboyern, Germany.  Eleven children were born to this union, the first nine being born in Germany.  The Becker families immigrated between 1852 and 1855, evidenced by the births of children. They probably arrived on the East Coast and boarded a boat coming up the Mississippi River to St. Louis. From there, the family settled in Milstadt, Illinois.

It was Frederick August and his wife, Sarela Annis (Gray/Grey) Becker that journeyed south to the boot heel of Missouri. There were 10 children born to this union, 8 who grew to adulthood and settled in the Poplar Bluff area.  F. A. married a second time to Addie Lee Weathers; no children were born to this union. He was married a third time to Mary Martha Louella Johnson and to this union one child was born.

Our direct ancestor is Ora Frederick Becker (1897 – 1965) and his wife, Bertha Eliza Jane Craft (1899 – 1944).  There were eight children born to this union; Artrue Lloyd, Arthur Edward, Agnes Mae, Calvin August, Ollie Olline, Delmer Lee, Vera Juanita, and Norma Sue.
